So I'm walking to the washroom and I pass a co-worker on the way. She's chatting on her cell. I wave and smile and head into the bathroom. She smiles back and FOLLOWS ME IN!!! I figure okay, she'll say goodbye any second now. Nope. I pee, flush, wash my hands and leave and she's still sitting in the loo chatting away.

Just because the phone can go everywhere doesn't mean it should go everywhere. Ugh, people.

It is a disease, this cell phone culture. Yes, no?
I do not have one, and I do not think I will get one either.
Talking on the loo is the limit. Very disgusting.

I have a cell, I love my cell, but I would NEVER talk to anyone on any phone from the washroom. That is so not cool.

I try to be a polite cell-user, I really do. There are few things more obnoxious than an inconsiderate cell-phone-user.

Reminds me of the old episodes of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous my Dad used to make us watch and how Robin Leach used to carry on over the common "rich and famous" practice of having a telephone installed in the bathroom.

Guess when you're rich you can't afford to miss any calls...*shrug*

No, you know what, some moments are private and people can call back later. Really, if I'm calling you I don't want to talk to you if you're on the loo, I'll call you back if it's that important. I don't care how rich you are, everone deserves a moment away from the rest of the world, and that's what washrooms are for.

I have to say that I completely agree with you on this.

I'm also very happy to hit that OFF button on my cell when I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone or am in a situation where it wouldn't be appropriate for my phone to ring.

That aside, cell phone etiquette and decent manners seem to be lacking all over the place these days.

So very far over the line.

I have a cell phone, and it's my primary method of communication -- at home, we have Skype but no physical land line. But I would never take it into the bathroom. And if I'm talking to someone on the way to the drive-thru, I pull into a spot in the parking lot to finish my conversation before going to order. And I don't talk on the phone at the till.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should is absolutely spot on.
