Well, since it appears very few of our friends are making the trip to Pennsic this year, we have decided to save our pennies and maybe try again next year. I guess we will be going to investiture and seeing Wernar step up, which will be kinda cool too.

The wedding was yesterday. It was lovely, I had too much to drink and ate too much. Feel like a beached whale today - sigh. The bride looked lovely and radiant, and somehow managed not to wilt in the ridiculously hot weather like the rest of us did. The poor groom nearly fainted in his tux. Ceremony was lovely, food was good, I'd post pics but I appear to have left the camera-computer USB cord at home, despite owning 2 - silly me. I guess that will come in a week when I get home.

In other news, my body is acting REALLY strange. I have no clue what is wrong with me. I am skipping periods like CRAZY! I actually went 3 months between the last one and this one! Despite multiple negative pregnancy tests I was seriously starting to wonder. I am also packing on the pounds like mad. I would like to say the two things are related, but that is probably just an excuse for my poor eating and exercise habits.

Anyway, no period for 3 months... so when do you think it decides to make its miraculous reappearance? On the day of the brother-in-law's wedding of course! Nothing like screwing up my plans for hitting the beach post-wedding, not to mention making me nervous in the pale formal-wear I had chosen. Stupid body.

Talk to your doctor when you get home. There are a number of health issues that can cause weight gain and irregular periods, including PCOS and hypothyroidism.

I won't be at Pennsic this year, and may or may not be next year.

Though, I've decided that sometime in the next five years, I'm going to apply to go to Kentwell.

Could it be stress? I've had delayed ones due to really stressful events. (I agree with going to your doctor- I know of several friends who have PCOS but weren't diagnosed until they were well into adulthood).

I'm not going to Pennsic either (thought I'd like to- Chirurgeonate should be fun this year with Kaellyn running it). Since work is paying for me to go to a conference during that same time, I can't really say no to it. (okay, that and I'm looking forward to going to Orlando!)
