Semi-productive

Like it says, today has been semi-productive. I've gotten stuff done, just not the stuff that needed doing. I'm on my third load of laundry for the day, which is good. This will be the first time since before I got Anna that all my delicates have been done. I only know that because the outfit I was wearing when we got her was part of today's laundry and I haven't worn it since we got her. I also cleaned the tub and tiles, got Jason to collect all the recycling and take it out to the car (we have to drive our recycling somewhere else if we want to recycle - very annoying, and cleaned the beagles' ears. I did the kitchen dishes, which we have been EXTREMELY lax about all month. And I made a batch of chili for dinner. All in all doesn't sound like a horrible use of a Sunday. Except that there are six files in my front hall that need to be on my supervisor's desk by 9am tomorrow. I guess it's going to be an all-nighter - sigh.
In other news, the weather here could hardly be nicer. I went to the concert last night in jeans and a t-shirt and left at 11pm just a teensy bit shivery, or I would have been if we'd had to stand in line, but walking to the car I was a-okay. We've been leaving the windows open all day. Which is great except that the steak house behind us keeps wafting wonderful smells our way. I normally love my chili, but I don't think it will compare favourably to the steak I'm still smelling and have been since noon. The beagles have been sunning themselves in the patio window all weekend.
Other than paid work getting in the way of my hobbies and my housework, life here is pretty damn good.
