Spider-baby
Sep. 5th, 2009 06:04 amMum just went home. It's been a nice 10 days. Didn't get as much done as either of us wanted (she wanted to see my TV room clean, I was hoping for some more time out shopping and enjoying the world and maybe to make a pie or two, but I overestimated my spoons on that one). I'm hoping that I can finish the TV room cleaning over the weekend and send her a picture of the finished room at least. And of course I have garb to make this weekend. Might even try to make a simple shift for Georgia if I get around to it. Her garb is pretty low-priority though. People will expect me to wear something suitable, they won't be expecting anything from her wardrobe.
Yesterday we had our first real bath. Mum washed her hair and demonstrated the easiest way to do it for me. I did the rest of her. She smells much better now (less like bad milk spit-up and more like clean again). I was really scared about how it would go. She screamed her way through the entire sponge bath, so I had reason to be concerned. She really enjoyed the water though, so I'll be making a more regular attempt at that. Yay.
After the bath we put on the lovely new onesie that auntie Mona sent us and discovered that the new soother mum chose is pretty okay.

( And here we are this morning after our first feeding )
I'm trying not to be the kind of mother that only posts stuff about their kids, which is of little or no interest to any other adult on the planet (except maybe the grandparents, who are equally doting). We all know the type and they bore us to tears. If I start going that way, please let me know. But I will make the occasional exception, especially to show off her wearing something she was given as a gift. Bear with me on those ones :)
