Bought myself an iPod touch for Christmas. It arrived today and I'm experimenting with it.

So far I'd say it's not as intuitive as I'd like and is hard to type on. It has also made it painfully clear that I need to separate my list mail from my personal mail.

Mostly bought it for browsing and reading anyway. At least I can now say I made one post with it. :)

Yay, have fun with it!!

(yes, it starts out incredibly unintuitive. Took me about a week to figure out how to turn it actually off, not just in sleep, and several months before I realize you can take screenshots! Still, I <3 my iTouch.)

Not concerned about screenshots as I can't figure how I'd use that, but how do I turn this thing off?

Press on the top button (the one that makes it sleep) & hold it down for a few. A red slider will appear on the screen, which you slide to turn it off for good. The top button is also the only one which will turn it back on, even though both the top button and the front-bottom-centre button (stupid, awkward to describe buttons!) will wake it up from sleep mode.

You press both at the same time for screen shots! Useful for taking photos from other people's sites, like facebook, to use as your "wallpaper"/start-up screen. (Why does everyone else take such great photos of Morgana?)

If all your app icons start wiggling, DO NOT PANIC. It just means that you can delete apps or move around the placement of the icons. There can be multiple screens for them, you get o pick how many icons you want per screen (i.e. you don't have to have a screenful of icons before you get a new one).

You'll figure it out. Have fun playing!

LOL The wiggling icons were one of the first things I figured out. As it turns out, I hadn't even discovered sleep yet. I was just leaving it alone until the screen went black. Next challenging thing to figure out: how to type with G whacking my arm.
