Nothing good can come of this.

So I'm clicking though a Gallery of pics of Midrealm 40th and I run into a particularly unflattering image of his Majesty Calontir. His mouth is in an "o" shape and the very tip of his tongue is coming out and it just looks terrible. I'm sitting here thinking "is he trying to bow a bubble?" Sure enough, click to the next image and there's his Queen with a big, pink, bubble gum bubble obscuring half her face.

Note to self: never chew bubble gum at an event. It's hard enough to get a good picture of yourself when doing normal things. You never know when you'll be caught on camera and no one needs to see that on film. On one hand, whimsey is good. On the other hand, we all like to look good in pictures, and that certainly breaks the medieval atmosphere.

Hey, when I click the link to the pictures it asks me for a login. Is there a generic one I can use?

No, you have to sign up. Tsivia I think posted the original link on the e-list and assures us that it will not be used for ill. You can always make a "fake" e-mail account for this stuff. I have a hotmail one that I only use for things like this.

There's also a GORGEOUS pic of some guy in purple with all this carved woodwork behind him that looks like a period portrait. It was a lovely event site.
