As far as I can figure, I stopped reading my friendslist regularly some time in early August. That makes sense as I went into labour on the 13th. I've also noticed that some entries in the week before that are familiar while others are not. Not sure why my reading was spotty the week before the birth, probably because I was pretty run down and tired and still had a lot to get done before the birth/sister visit.

Today I went back and caught up on selected journals. I read up on people who are pregnant/have babies first as they are most likely to have *news* and stuff changing and happening, and/or stuff where I might be able to contribute. Then it was people who aren't terribly prolific in their posting. I've only got a few hours while Georgia sleeps and I do have to get around to unpacking and dealing with stuff today, so I can't really afford to read novels, no matter how well they may be written. I also skipped anything that was a meme or in the "simple woman's daybook" format. Sorry ladies but I can't stand that form. I figure if I need to be prompted to write it, that it wasn't that important, and it's probably the same for everyone else, thus I don't need to read it either. There may be substance in there, but I'm too lazy to dig through for it.

If anything happened that you think I should know about and you think I might have missed it, please let me know. I'll try to be better about reading from this point on as things are starting to calm down here and she is giving me a little time to myself now. No promises though. I'm quickly learning that every day is different, and just because she is giving me some me-time today is no real indication that she intends to do it again. "She who must be held" (as my mother calls her) may revert to her old ways any minute.

What's a "simple woman's daybook" format?

(it's understandable you'll be a bit spotty in reading- you've had a heck of a lot going on lately!)

'Cenedl and Emer have been using it. It's basically a form that prompts you to write your thoughts on the day on various subjects. But it's not set up to necessarily provoke deep thoughts or interesting discussion. It includes such deep thoughts as "Outside my window...", which tends to be boring discussion of the weather or "I am wearing..." like really, are we in high school? Some of the prompts like "I am creating" or "I am thinking" may lead to something interesting, but I just can't bring myself to slog through those posts. Like I said, if I need to be prompted to write about it, it's probably not that interesting. And I can't imagine it's much different for anyone else.

Post about what you're passionate about and what is driving your brain today. Don't just post to fill in a form and answer what's asked of you.

Yeah, I may prattle on sometimes about stuff that not everyone else wants to read, but I figure there's no point posting if I have to be prompted since it would make me feel like I was being forced to write.

I have a 3 week internet hiatus from when we did renos. I meant to catch up but I think I probably will give up - especially on the FB statuses! Thank goodness LJ lets you go back day by day for paid members.
