norsegirlGot the approval to apply for the internal posting for an Accounts Payable clerk. It's a temporary position, but it is a promotion and it would allow me to use all my education and previous experience. And it's off the phones with no more nasty headset - yay!

I have 6 years of relevant financial experience, including 4 years at Ray-Tec Radiant Heaters, where I was the sole bookkeeper for a company with over 2 million in annual sales. In response to difficulties caused by the purchase order filing system, I re-designed and implemented a new order tracking system that ensured greater efficiency and complete coverage, and which is still in use today.
At Children's Hospital of Western Ontario I suspected that the Paediatric Oncology Family Assistance Program was underfunded and independently decided to analyze the trend in claims. My report resulted in an increase in funds provided by the sponsoring charity.
I have one year of experience at a public accounting firm. While there I performed bookkeeping duties for several clients, often as the sole accountant assigned to their file. I was also assigned to teams to perform many audits and was consistently praised for my teamwork and communications skills.
During the Honors Business Administration program at Ivey I learned how to perform in assigned teams with very tight deadlines while completing the 48 hour report assignments.
