Is it really a waste?
Sep. 12th, 2009 07:22 pmHad a day of nothing getting done yesterday, so when we went to bed last night my laundry was not done, and neither was Georgia's, and the car was not packed. We decided that we would tackle packing today and leave either late today or maybe Sunday morning. Then we had a major diaper leak last night that resulted in me having to change every linen in the nursery at 4am (she was sleeping with me in the day-bed, then I moved her to her crib before noticing the leak, and finally when I put her on the change table that got all messed up too). She then fussed and cried until morning, so that was the end of sleep.
That made this morning a bit of a slow start. All I got done was some baking (banana bread to use up the rotting bananas, which I burnt - rats). Then I raced off to the post office before it closed so I could send off those mobiles I finished last week (feels sooooo good to get those out the door as I've been working on them since June?) while Jason hung up my laundry to dry. And this afternoon Jason and I felt entitled to some time off, so we did a few dungeons (2-manned some lvl 60 ones) in WoW while Georgia slept. It's been probably over a month since I played, so that was fun. I am now exalted with the Argent Dawn - go me. Unfortunately the car is no closer to being packed than it was when we awoke this morning. Also, part of staying back today was that I figured I could get the dress (nursing dress to wear to coronation next weekend) done while Jason was around to watch Georgia. So much for that. All said, even though we didn't hit the road or pack or get anything really accomplished today, I have no regrets. It was nice for Jason and I to just sit back and enjoy each other's company again. Sometimes you just need to take a day off. Which is part of why we planned to drive and not fly on this trip. This way we can set our departure and return based on how we feel in the moment and it can all change.
Time to scrounge up some supper and then on to packing I guess. Maybe I'll give myself some time to sew after the packing is done.
