Creepy guy

Had an encounter with a creepy guy this week...

Wore another one of my signature short skirts to work. Again with the opaque tights under it so I wouldn't look totally hoochie. Had many compliments on my outfit again, even one from a total stranger in the grocery store, a nice 40-something woman, so really, not whorish at all, but very cute.

I decide to stop at the grocery store and pick up a few things on the way home from work... as I'm walking from the car to the store some guy in a pick-up truck cruises past and half-yells something unintelligible out his window. I tug at the hem of my skirt to make sure it hasn't flipped up and glare at him.

Head into the store, pick out my produce and start heading for the milk. Nice stranger-lady stops me in the meat section to compliment my outfit, just before hitting the dairy section... creepy guy shows up again! He's walking towards me. Mutters something, I make out one word, "gorgeous" and then I'm past him. Grab my milk, a bag of frozen spinach and head for the check-out, so I'm not exactly dawdling. At the end of the frozen food aisle, there he is again! This time he doesn't say anything. But he must have run through the store as soon as he was past me to get ahead of me again.

I pay and head out to my car. And he drives past in his pick up and mutters something out the window and whistles at me. I wait until he rounds the corner, get in my car and leave the lot QUICKLY in the other direction. Take a couple turns and park at home, underground, watching my rear view the whole time.

I understand the psychology of the guy who shouts things out a car window... not having the courage to actually talk to a girl, or sufficient desire to actually stop and talk to her. I DO NOT understand a guy who would actually park, stalk a girl through the grocery store, then run out to do another drive-by without ever actually making a real conversation. Completely creeped out! And I also think he was like 10 years younger than me.

Upon getting home and telling my husband... his response... "It is a really great skirt" and gropes me. Sigh, men ;)
