I've been framed

Spent my morning framing the prints I bought last month or was it the month before. Buying frames has been a laughably epic saga. First attempt I neglected to measure them before hitting Ikea and tried to just eyeball it and ended up with the wrong size of frames. No biggie as I just pulled out some other unframed prints I had lying about and framed them up. Monday I went back to purchase the right size but ended up one frame short as I managed to forget about one print as I was standing at Ikea, so it looks like I'll have to go back again this weekend. Sigh. Maybe I'll even get them all hung this weekend. That would be cool.
No progress at all this week on Lauren's room. Also we put up the tree on the weekend but have still not put away all the packaging for the ornaments nor have we put up the old, mini-tree that I'd like to have in the games room upstairs. Might get to it this weekend. Have a wreath outside on the door but no lights at all. Not sure if we'll bother with lights this year as we'd have to buy some. Georgia has been kind of fussy all week so the house is a complete mess. I've been knitting ornaments and recycling some old PJs into bibs and burp cloths, so there's yarn and flannel everywhere.
It's supposed to maybe snow on Friday. The last time this area saw snow was 3 or 4 years ago. The news is already reporting that people are stocking up on the essentials like bread, milk and cans of soup. They're also talking about winterizing your pets, like short-haired breeds should wear coats and sweaters. We used to take the beagles walking in -40 and they still refused sweaters (they'd pout and refuse to walk if we put them on). They'd shiver if we had to stop and wait before crossing the road, but they never got overly chilled or sick. Unless your dog lives outside all the time (and I've got some strong opinions on that matter, I'm sure you can guess my stance based on the fact that my hounds have their own couch) they should be fine sporting just their fur coat at just barely freezing. It's funny watching southerners deal with "weather".
