Volunteering isn't going to happen. I have no car, which means I'd have to really go out of my way to get anywhere to help, and even if I had the car for the day, I'd be disinclined to spending the gas money on volunteering. I'm just not that nice a person when you get right down to it. And being pregnant, there's not a whole lot I can help with anyway.

I'm hoping until I get a job that I can cultivate some friendships in the SCA. It's gotten me friends in Edmonton and Australia, so it's worked in the past. I just have to show up to things and make an effort. It's easier when I can fight. Soon I'll be able to get back to that. Roller derby should help too once I can do that again. In the meantime I feel fairly isolated though.
