The idea with knitting the rovings is to felt it when you're done.

Companion in crime, alas, is only for 3 more weeks. She's about to move to Dallas (which is not too far away, but far enough not to be a regular afternoon shopping buddy) in preparation for a move up North to either Illinois, Indiana or Connecticut (that's apparently where the work is for her husband). It means in a few weeks she'll revert to being an "events-only" friend and in a few months I'll probably only see her at Pennsic. Bummer that we didn't get friendly until she was about to leave.
