Best way to write a recipe ever!!!!

http://www.cookingforengineers.com/

They write recipes like a chart instead of a list of ingredients and then the instructions. It is BRILLIANT! I can't wait to try one of their recipes and see if it really does work as well as I think it will.

In other news, we're less than 24 hours from the lighting of the flame. Are you doing anything special during the Olympics? What sports are you excited about?

I must admit a certain nostalgia for Canada is coming out during these games. I was miffed during the last Olympics what with them holding them in China and refused to watch even a minute of coverage. But with these games being held in Canada I find myself saddened that I will not have the opportunity to view the Canadian coverage, which concentrates on our athletes. It will be interesting to see what the American coverage is like, though I'm sure we had access to it when I lived in Ontario.

Anyway, I am interested in snowboard stuff, it's always pretty neat. And I'm celebrating the Olympics by participating in Ravelympics. The idea is you cast on when the flame is lit and you try to be done by the time it is extinguished. You're supposed to attempt something challenging but not impossible. I still haven't decided what my project will be. Must make that decision tomorrow.

Georgia seems to think that I should be as fashionable as she is. Every time I put her up on my shoulder to burp her she does all the gassy burping with her head pointed safely over my burp-cloth-covered shoulder. But as soon as she needs to barf she turns to the middle and launches it all down my front - sigh.

New cloth diapering products that my fellow cloth diapering mamas may be interested in.

How have your cloth diapering adventures been going? What would you recommend and have you tried anything that just didn't work at all?

During the parade of nations the American coverage managed to miss an entire nation because it happened to fall between the US and Canada. They spent too much time yapping on about their own athletes and then had to switch to Canada when they started coming in and the crowd drowned out the blathering about the Americans. "Uzbekistan just snuck in there" they said. I suspect they came in flag waving just like any other nation, you just chose to totally ignore and disrespect them. Not cool y'all.

They're also missing out on giving credit to many of the performers. They overlooked Lorena McKennit's contribution. Though to be fair I'm not sure if she was there or if it was just a recording. No comment on Joni Mitchell either. Again not sure if it's just a recording. That said, Ashley MacIsaac was DEFINITELY there in person and no mention was made to identify that fiddler.

In other news, Nellie Furtado had some kick-ass heels!
